Emma Pickering
I joined the ITC team in October 2016. At the time, I’d worked in corporate finance for over 12 years – most recently at EY, where I’d been advising entrepreneurial business and private equity on buying and selling companies and raising finance.
Before ITC, I’d never worked in the travel industry before, so it felt like such a privilege to combine my love for travel with my job. I was attracted to the company as I could see exciting times ahead for the business and team, with the chance to make a real difference and plenty of new experiences to be had. With the business on a growth trajectory and so much going on, I knew I’d never get bored!
My favourite part of working for ITC is the people. The team is fantastic and everyone has a real passion for what they do. We’re proud to provide amazing service for our clients and are always looking for ways to improve. We’re also so diverse, with new and exciting developments constantly taking off somewhere in the business.
I love how travel opens your eyes to new experiences. It can bring so much fun and happiness into our lives. Now, as a parent, it’s amazing to see how our children can experience and learn from different cultures, seeing new landscapes, architecture and trying new things.
I’ve had the privilege of seeing some incredible places during my life. I’ve loved visiting the mountains of Austria with my family for a ski holiday. I once also spent nine months backpacking around the world, seeing South America, New Zealand and South-East Asia, as well as spending a month camping in Africa. It was an amazing experience and I got to see something new every day.
